Entre temps et tradition
At the center stands a modern Moroccan woman, depicted through fragmented shapes and geometric lines inspired by cubism. Her chin bears a traditional Amazigh tattoo, a symbol of heritage and identity, and her clothing is adorned with Berber motifs that echo the richness of her cultural roots.
Her gaze turns toward a clock. More than a simple object, it represents the passage of time and the social expectations placed on many women ,to marry, to have children, to follow a prescribed path. She observes time moving forward, fully aware of these pressures, yet remains steady, dignified, and anchored between tradition and modernity.
The artwork reflects the story of a woman living between two worlds:the one society projects onto her and the one she aspires to build.
